Full-time- year to year basis
Description:This software developer is going to be assisting one of the Biomedical Informatics teams in building out
their existing API in an Open-Source environment. This ground-breaking API makes the rich metadata
that the researchers discover much more accessible for future use. The old method was very long and
old-fashioned.
The team has several projects continuously going on at once, but this is where the bulk of the work will
be done.
Skills Needed:
- Ability to comfortably develop in a Java Enterprise environment
- Web API experience (REST or RESTful)
- Cloud computing (Any of the 3 will work: AWS, Azure, or Google)
- JavaScript- doesn’t need to be at an expert level- may come in use on other projects
- JPA (Java Persistance API) for accessing, persisting, and managing data between Java objects / classes
- and a relational database
- Docker
Experience:- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5-8 years of experience in Software Development
- 3-5 years specifically in a Java Enterprise environment
